Linda's 60th birthday trip to Tennessee and three other states

Lover’s Leap at Rock City Gardens provides an overlook that allows visitors to see seven states: Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Kentucky. We were skeptical about this claim, but you can see various mountains on the horizon that are located in these states.

We celebrated Linda’s 60th birthday by taking a road trip through Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama. Chattanooga, Tennessee, became our stop to commemorate her special day.

The second day of our trip included a visit to Shiloh National Military Park in Tennessee, where one of the most significant Civil War battles occurred in 1862—100 years before Linda was born.
